鄂尔多斯经济服务频道筹建于2010年，以经济资讯、民生新闻和生活服务信息为主要内容，以“内容和视角的本土化”为特色，全天18小时播出，覆盖市辖八个旗县区。
鄂尔多斯经济服务频道现有30名新闻采编及制作人员。为持续提升频道各栏目的传播力和影响力，经统筹考虑，频道对现有栏目进行优化编排、整合改版，于2014年11月3日全新起航。改版后频道形成一个以三档自办节目为主、三档合办节目为辅、五档引进节目为特色的节目群，播出内容涉及“新闻资讯、旅游时尚、消费服务、健康生活、影视剧场”五大板块，初步建立起经济服务频道“服务百姓、服务生活”的频道特色。
