甘肃少儿频道是一个以服务少年儿童学习、生活、益智为主，以"成长快乐、益智有趣、健康活力、多彩和谐"为基本理念的甘肃省唯一的专业化少儿电视频道。频道不仅面对1-18岁的青少年，还兼顾孩子的爷爷、奶奶、母亲、家政工作者等边缘收视人群。
作为我省一个年轻的电视专业化频道，从每天早上9：00至次日凌晨1：00连续播出16小时，主要内容以中外电影、电视剧，影视资讯专题和娱乐专题为主。频道影视剧的播出采取剧场化，分别开设了《精彩930》、《欢乐七点半》和《休闲时光》三个剧场，主要播出风格清新、健康向上的国产主题剧和节奏明快、时代感强的港台剧、日韩剧。开播三年来，剧场播出了一批极具震撼力的电视作品，家喻户晓，深受广大观众欢迎。
除此之外，频道引进的影视资讯栏目，如《每日文化播报》、《环球影视》、《娱乐纵天下》、《影视快讯》、《勇者总动员》以其高雅的格调，丰富的内容，深得专业工作者和影迷朋友的喜爱。
