2007年，江西电视台红色经典频道由国家广电总局正式批准成立，这是一个直属于江西省广电局管理的电视频道，是以有线光纤传输、覆盖全省的省级频道。播出排列序号为江西七套。
2008年1月1号，江西电视台红色经典频道将正式开播，频道贯穿“爱生活，爱电影”的理念。24小时大容量的播出，必会带给您全新的视角、全新的平台、全新的享受。在红色经典的荧屏上，富有特色的“三驾电视马车”将同时快跑。
