铜陵电视台始建于1984年，属事业单位。目前自办三套节目：一套为新闻综合频道、二套为生活服务频道、三套为影视娱乐频道，日播出时间达54个小时。信号覆盖周边十县市，覆盖人口1000多万。铜陵电视台内设十个部门，员工140多人，其中高级、中级职称人员80多人。近年来，铜陵电视台牢固树立“新闻立台、品牌靓台、经营富台、管理强台”的工作理念，各项工作在安徽17个地级市台中名列前茅。2009年度再次荣获全省电视新闻宣传先进集体。 新闻综合频道共设有：铜陵新闻、今日播报、聚焦铜都等新闻栏目节目。
