Its studio and transmitter is located in Lexington, east of the intersection of I-75 & US 60 on Winchester Road. Its newscasts are on each weekday at 5-7am, 10-10:30am, noon-1pm, 5-6:30pm, 11-11:30pm and weekends at 6pm / 11 pm. WKYT regularly shows University of Kentucky Wildcats sports events which are popular in the market, as the television flagship station of the IMG UK Sports Marketing Network and as part of the Southeastern Conference's contracts with CBS and the SEC Network, syndicated by ESPN Regional Television.
