石台县广播电视台主要职责： （一）贯彻执行党的宣传方针，坚持正确舆论导向，及时准确地宣传党的路线、方针、政策。 （二）围绕县委、县政府中心工作，确定广播电视宣传工作的指导思想和报道重点；负责全县广播电视对外宣传工作；按规定完整转播中央、省、市广播电视节目。 （三）负责全台广播电视事业发展规划、广播电视节目的终审和播出，办好健康向上的广播电视节目，不断丰富人民群众的精神文化生活。 （四）负责广播电视节目安全播出和技术保障工作，加快科技创新和改革步伐，努力提升广播电视的科技含量和播出水平。 （五）负责组织实施全县广播电视传输覆盖网络建设、运营与管理；负责指导城乡有线电视建设、推广与经营，大力发展广播电视网络与无线数字广播、有线数字电视事业。 （六）大力发展新媒体业务，拓宽宣传阵地和宣传渠道。 （七）加强全台广播电视队伍的思想政治建设、业务培训和职业道德教育，加强广播电视系统的人才队伍建设；研究和推进广播电视系统内部管理体制改革。 （八）负责全台内部人财物的统一管理。 （九）承办县委、县政府交办的其他事项。
