Introduction to Arirang Korea
아리랑국제방송(ArirangTV)은 대한민국 서울특별시에 거점을 둔 국제방송교류재단이 운영하는 국제방송국이다. 아리랑국제방송은 한국의 시사, 문화, 및 역사에 관한 영어 정보를 한국 주변 지역에 제공하고 있다.
1997년 2월 3일 대한민국에서 방송을 시작하였으며, 1999년 8월 12일부터 해외 방송을 시작하였다. 방송국 이름은 한국의 전통 민요 “아리랑”에서 유래하였다.
3개의 채널이 24시간 동안 주 언어인 영어로 방송하고 있으며 스페인어, 중국어, 아랍어, 러시아어, 베트남어 그리고 인니어의 자막 서비스를 제공하고 있다(다언어 자막 서비스).
2022년 5월 9일에는 아리랑국제방송에서 스페인어 유튜브 채널인 아리랑 에스빠뇰(Arirang Espanol)을 론칭했다.
현재 전 세계 108개국 약 1억 4,400만 시청 가구를 확보한 아리랑국제방송은 다양한 프로그램을 통해 보다 많은 시청자와 소통하고 있다.
