奉贤广播电视台成立于1996年，现有在编干部职工百余人。其中，新闻编辑记者35人；中高级专业技术人员18名；高级工程师1名。1997——1998年度和1999——2000年度，该台连续两次被中共上海市农委、市农村工作委员会授予“上海市农口级文明单位”称号；2001——2002年度、2003——2004年度两次被授予上海市第11届、12届文明单位。《情牵沈阳》等三十多部作品分别获得中国广播电视奖、上海新闻奖、上海广播电视奖。每天播出时间近16小时，自制节目时间9.5小时。
