杭州电视台西湖明珠频道(HTV-2)：1993年4月开播，以文化、娱乐、体育、旅游报道为主，开设与播出相应的栏目和节目，配以频道相适应的电视剧。拟在现有频道基础上作适当充实、调整，增强新闻报道的文化含量，拓展文化报道领域，丰富频道文化内涵及提升文化品位，更好地为杭州市创文化名城和建设现代化国际风景旅游城市服务。
明珠台绝大多数晚间节目都有以NICAM(丽音)技术，作多种语言广播。尤其是晚间播出的部分综合节目与电视剧、电影等等，均有英粤、日粤双声道。其英语剧收视为全港最高。
明珠台亦重点播放英语戏剧节目，其中有得奖的外购戏剧《仁心仁术》、《老友记》、《迷》、《凹凸容医》、《O.C.》、《靓太唔易做》、《24》、《逃》、《“俏”Betty》等，间中亦会播放韩剧、日剧、台剧。一些曾在明珠台播放的外购节目，例如《仁心仁术》、《色欲都市》，亦被香港的电视台，以类似的题材制作成香港版本。
