东南卫视是福建省广播影视集团旗下的卫星电视频道，为福建电视台第二套节目，于1994年正式开播。
1998年，东南卫视推出了《银河之星大擂台》、《开心100》、《非常音乐》等综艺节目。2003年，东南卫视举办了音乐打榜活动“东南劲爆音乐榜” 。2007年，东南卫视在《综艺》杂志六月份所评定的“14家上星10年卫视竞争力排行榜”及“14家卫视2006年全国覆盖排名”的榜单上分列第七与第五 。2009年12月，东南卫视获得“2009中国十大卫视”奖 。2011年4月13日，东南卫视在“2010生态中国年度颁奖盛典”上被授予“2010生态中国合作奖”。2014年，东南卫视入选“亚洲品牌五百强” 。2015年9月6日，东南卫视实现全高清播出 。
