池州电视台，于1993年4月批准成立，1994年2月1日正式开播。共设办公室、总编室、新闻采访部、新闻编辑部、专题部、文艺节目部、技术播出部、发射台和广告中心九个部室，并代管池州微波站。全台编制65人，现有正式在编人员60人，在岗人员96人(含节目编排、制作、播出及聘用人员)，其中高级职称4人，中级职称34人，中共党员34人，属全额拨款全民事业单位。
栏目《池州新闻联播》、《贵池专讯》、《民生周刊》、《视点》、《城市地平线》、《漫步秋浦》、《池州警视》、《池州方圆》、《池州房产》、《检察纵横》、《科技致富》、《节目导视》等。除办好自办节目外，池州台还担负着省台经济生活频道和央视第一套在我区的转播任务。池州电视台内抓管理，外树形象，广大干部职工知难而进，艰苦创业，坚持与时代同步，与新闻同行，紧紧围绕池州经济建设和社会全面进步这一中心工作展开电视宣传，并积极向省台和中央台投稿，努力做好外宣工作，为构建“实力池州、活力池州、魅力池州、和谐池州”营造良好的舆论氛围。池州电视台正朝着“创新创业、兴我广电，实现跨越式发展”的方向迈进。
