城市電視是一個多元文化頻道，隸屬於加拿大新時代傳媒集團，於1993年在加拿大溫哥華開播，提供母語為國語的華裔移民最佳影視節目服務，從1998年6月1日起改為以國語廣播為主，並於2001年秋季起，將其訊號覆蓋的範圍從卑詩省大溫哥華地區擴展至全加拿大各地，現通過有線電視及衛星電視向全加拿大播出節目。每星期七天，每天24小時的廣播時數中，普通話節目播出20小時，越南語節目及韓語節目各播出2小時。
城市電視將最全面的新聞與娛樂資訊傳達給加拿大每一個華人家庭，並致力於擔任華人社會與其他族裔的溝通橋樑，積極促進各族裔間之相互了解。

城市電視精選的各項節目類型涵蓋新聞﹑資訊﹑娛樂﹑戲劇等四大範疇，並兼顧婦女﹑兒童及耆英的口味安排適合的節目。城市電視除了採購來自中國大陸及台灣的節目之外，亦投注於本地製作節目。製作的方針完全視本地移民的實際生活需要及口味而設計，包括投資理財﹑生活教育﹑休閒娛樂﹑健身運動﹑時事座談等，對於新移民的環境適應﹑融入主流社會有絕對的助益。
