双湖县电视台隶属于双湖县融媒体中心（曾用名西藏双湖县广播电影电视中心），2017 年 12 月正式成立，其设立筹备工作于当年 4 月启动，是服务藏北羌塘高原双湖县的主流权威媒体，核心职能为播映电视节目、转播上级广电部门规定必转节目，同时把握宣传口径，办好办活本地新闻及专题节目，内容聚焦县域政务传达、民生服务、极高海拔生态保护、民族团结进步等本地重点工作，还打造了法治宣传、访谈类等特色栏目，通过 “户户通” 等设备覆盖县域及周边牧区，既搭建起党委政府与群众的沟通桥梁，也成为展示双湖独特地域文化与经济社会发展的重要窗口。
