经过二十多年的发展壮大，现在的石首电视台有干部职工92人，并且拥有当今世界上先进的数字采编播设备，电视转播车，非线性编辑系统，以及三套无限发射设备。自办的石首新闻、社会聚焦、新闻110、玉石首、农事直通车、热土、法治在线、唱响石首等各类栏目及大型活动屡获国家级、省级奖励。石首电视台覆盖半径达60公里，石首全境及邻近的公安、监利、江陵和湖南的华容、南县、安乡等多个县市200多万人口可以收看到石首电视台的节目。
