随州电台是市委、市政府的主要宣传媒体之一。她成立于1985年。地级随州市成立后，在市领导的高度重视下，乘着全国广播发展的春风，于2003并开播了交通经济台，2004年开播了新闻台，两套节目均实行全天18小时播出。新闻台播出频率为中波1008千赫，功率为10千瓦；交通经济台播出频率为调频96.2兆赫。两套节目除覆盖随州全境外，还覆盖周边县市，覆盖人口达2500多万人。
随广新闻台以发布随州新闻，开展舆论监督，提供资讯服务为主旨，开辟有《随州新闻》、《市民之声》、《随州行风热线》、《听游天下》、《馨蔚时间》、《健康生活馆》、《非常惊喜》、《往日情浓》等十几档自办节目。同时，全天定时播出6档整点新闻。
随广交通经济台以关注交通、关注经济、关注民生为主线，开辟有《交通热线》、《快乐方向盘》、《交通违章查询台》、《路况播报》、《金融热线》、《曾都行风热线》、《随县行风热线》、《时尚大家玩》等十几档自办节目。
随州电台两套节目从2010年2月26日起，与《随州论坛》网联手，实现实时网上直播，更加方便了广大网友在线收听，也为广大听众和网友参与电台的节目和各种活动提供一个新的平台。
