襄阳广播电视台新闻综合频道是以新闻资讯传播为主，兼具娱乐服务功能的一档电视频道，目前共有编辑记者、播音主持和后期制作人员51人。
作为襄阳广播电视台的主频道，新闻综合频道拥有襄阳广电四个频道中最高的收视率和最大的市场份额，承载着襄阳广电广告经营创收的最大份额。新闻综合频道的节目信号以无线和有线混合的方式覆盖到市辖各县（市）区以及邻近的荆门、十堰、南阳、随州的部分地区，覆盖人口达一千多万，是襄阳广播电视台四个电视频道中覆盖面积最大和覆盖人口最多的一个频道。
该频道目前主要有三个自办节目，一个是以城市居民为主要收视群体的大型日播民生新闻节目《今日播报》，一个是汇编国内民生新闻的方言类栏目《你听我说撒》和每周一次的电视英语新闻节目《襄阳新闻周刊》，秉承“说襄阳事，传襄阳情，让世界了解襄阳”的节目宗旨，成为襄阳对外宣传的新平台。
