中央广播电视总台将于10月1日开播国内首个上星超高清电视频道——CCTV4K超高清频道。 4K电视的图像清晰度更加细腻，色彩亮度的表现更加丰富，达到电影的水平。声音效果也与影院相当，三维声的音响效果甚至可以超过影院。观众在家完全可以体验到影院的视听感受。可以预见，随着4K频道的到来，人们期盼已久的电视家庭影院将成为现实。 CCTV4K超高清频道10月1日开播当天播出时间为10:00-24:00，10月2日起从上午6:00到24:00，每天播出18小时，持续为观众提供纪录片、体育赛事、综艺、电视剧、动画片等丰富的4K节目内容。国庆期间，CCTV4K超高清频道将播出纪录片《航拍中国》《港珠澳大桥》、音乐晚会《唱响新时代-我和我的祖国》《纪念改革开放四十周年特别节目》专题文艺晚会、《中国网球公开赛（直播）》等4K超高清节目，让观众足不出户，就能享受到影院级别的视听体验。 将通过中星6A卫星和全国有线电视干线网向全国传输。北京、广东、上海、浙江、四川、贵州、重庆、江西、安徽、陕西、江苏、内蒙古和深圳等13个省、区、市的有线电视网在10月1日开通中央广播电视总台4K频道。
